When a UK political party wanted to rebrand, it hired two specialist research agencies and Baines Associates to work together to undertake the polling work necessary to identify what attributes it should position itself around and develop a suitable positioning plan. Based partly around real-time experience tracking and traditional polling, the former of which allows brand owners to evaluate how their brands are being experienced by consumers as they interact with them and which are the most effective, we identified a several unique brand positioning features to support a revised brand identity framework and what communications were most likely to be effective.
